VICTORIA

 KING VALLEY

For many years, King Valley has produced grapes that mirror the flavours of other districts’ wines. Now days, new wineries are producing a much larger range of sparkling whites, elegant reds and even Italian Varieties such as Sangiovese, Nebbiolo and Barbera. The region produces a range of good quality grapes from Chardonnay to Cabernet Sauvignon and even supplies grapes to leading wineries in New South Wales and South Australia.

MILDURA MURRAY DARLING

Mildura Murray Darling has a history associated with grape growing and wine production which is why its no surprise that it had a large impact on the red wine boom, seeing lower to mid priced red wines bottled instead of sold in casks.  It is home to 25 – 30 boutique producers of fruity soft wines. The Mildura Murray Darling region is famous for its Voignier and its increasing plantations of and Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyards.

MORNINGTON PENINSULAR

There are over 170 vineyards in Mornington Peninsular which produce a wealth of grapes – Pinot Noir and Chardonnay being the specialties. The region is also known for its full bodied and complex Pinot Gris, and the lighter Pinot Grigio.

 SWAN HILL

Swan Hill is predominantly known for Shiraz, chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon but also home to less common varieties such as Durif, Tempranillo, Tarango, Voignier, Verdelho and more.

 YARRA VALLEY

Yarra Valley is known for its Elegant Sparklings and Chardonnay. With a range of complex Pinot Noir, rich Cabernet Sauvignons and Shiraz it’s hard not to find your favourite wine in the Yarra - Victoria's first wine growing region.
