Gold, Silver and Bronze – Swish Wine’s Tin Soldier scoops the Brisbane Fine Wine Festival

In the first year the Hunter Valley wine company has entered the competition, Swish Wine’s Tin Soldier range has
scooped an impressive medal haul at the 2009 Brisbane Fine Wine Festival, taking home a Gold, Silver and Bronze
medal.
First onto the dais is the Tin Soldier Chardonnay 2007 proudly sporting its Bronze medal for Category D; Wooded
Chardonnay. Next up, is the Tin Soldier Semillon 2007 and a Silver medal in Category C; Unwooded Semillon, before the
big winner, the Tin Soldier Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2008 completed the hat-trick with a Gold medal in Category F; Other
Varieties.
General Manager of Swish Wine, Tom Rutledge, said “since our first vintage for Tin Soldier in 2007, we have been striving
to make the best wine that we can with the outstanding fruit from our vineyard. This is the first year we have been
entering wine shows and it is great that the judges agree we are on the right track.”
Swish Wine has entered the Tin Soldier range in the forthcoming Boutique Wine Festival, the 2009 Cowra Wine Show and
the 2009 Hunter Valley Wine Show. We are very much looking forward to further success.

A lightly oaked Chardonnay that combines citrus and quince flavours with a lovely buttery complexity.
• Tin Soldier Semillon 2007 - $14.99 rrp
A classic Hunter Semillon with fresh ground spice notes, citrus and mineral traces to the finish.
• Tin Soldier Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2008 - $14.99 rrp
Hunter Semillon blended with a little Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc makes for a zesty, juicy and full-flavoured
dry white.
